We're excited to have you in our salon! We understand that finding a new salon home can be overwhelming so we've put together some additional information to make your first visit as seamless as possible. Please feel free to explore this page before your visit and reach out if you have any questions.


Please make sure you have filled out your Digital Consultation Form on our New Guest page, which is required before booking an initial appointment.


Scheduling Software

We have recently switched to Boulevard for our appointment management. You are able to access your appointment information through the link in your email or by logging into your client portal here

Reminder Email & Texts

You'll receive a reminder email or text, depending on your preferences, approximately 2 days before your scheduled appointment. 

You will also receive a text the morning of your appointment asking you to complete your appointment customization form if you have not already done so.

Appointment Customization Form

You will receive an Appointment Customization Form before your appointment so that you can completely customize your experience while in our salon. Pick out a drink or snack, set the vibe for your appointment, and update your inspiration photos all before you walk in the door. We'll make sure we have everything ready for what you need that day!



Location & Parking

Prickly Pear Salon is located in the Village Square shopping center, located at the corner of Walnut Street and Cary Towne Boulevard. We have ample parking in front of the salon as well as around end of the building, near Primo Pizza.

Late Arrival Policy

We recommend that you plan to arrive a few minutes early as construction in the Triangle can can delays. We have a strict late arrival and cancellation policy in place to prevent last-minute cancellations and no-call, no shows. Please review our Policies page before your visit.

What to Wear

Please wear something comfortable - come as you are. We recommend avoiding bulky collars, highly-prized shirts, and light colors as there is always a small risk of color transfer. We also recommend wearing a neutral or plain colored shirt in case we snap some killer after photos!


Upon Arrival

You'll check in on our iPad and one of our team members will greet you. Once you're checked in, you can make yourself comfortable in our reception area. If you requested a snack or drink in your appointment customization form, we'll make sure we have it waiting for you once you get settled in to the chair. 

In the Chair

We'll review your appointment customization form, inspiration photos, and any specific requests notes before we get started. Whether you choose to zone out with your book or catch up on the latest celebrity gossip, we'll make sure we honor whatever vibe you choose for your appointment. 

If you need a phone charger or beverage during your appointment, don't hesitate to let us know! 

Finishing Up

Once we've finished up your service, we may take some photos for use on social media. Don't worry if you're not comfortable with showing your face, we have many different pose options to showcase your beautiful hair while respecting your preferences. 

We'll make sure we get you squared away with any products you may need to maintain your look at home and one of our team members will check you out at the front desk.
