Taylor Is Now an evo Certified Educator!

Prickly Pear Salon Cary NC stylist Taylor evo certified educator

You already know Taylor. You've sat in her chair, trusted her with your color, and probably walked out wondering why your hair doesn't look like that when you do it yourself!

Well we've got news! Taylor recently completed evo's Train the Trainer program, earning her certification as an evo certified educator! That puts her in a select group of stylists trained not just to use the evo line, but to teach it to other professionals.

Here's what Taylor brought back from her training:

What It Actually Means to Be an evo Certified Educator

Train the Trainer" isn’t just a one-afternoon brand event. It’s a rigorous certification program designed to turn stylists into true educators. These are the experts who can teach evo’s color science, product philosophy, and application techniques to other stylists in a real salon setting.

Taylor didn't just learn how to use the products; she came back with a deeper understanding of the why:

  • The ingredient decisions: Why specific elements are chosen.

  • The color science: The math and chemistry behind the bottle.

  • The product interactions: How formulas work together for better results.

The Reality: Most stylists never learn at this level because most brands don't teach it.

What Her Guests Actually Get Out of This

This is the part that matters most to you.

When Taylor recommends a product, it's not because she likes the packaging. She now understands the science behind every ingredient in the line and can match what's in the bottle to what's actually happening with your hair. That's a different kind of recommendation.

  1. Ingredients with a purpose

Taylor can now walk you through the "why" behind the bottle without it feeling like a chemistry lecture:

  • Organic avocado oil for moisture and shine

  • Organic yellow chamomile extract as an antioxidant that slows color fading

  • Synthetic allergen-free fragrance, which matters more than most people realize, especially for sensitive scalps.

  1. Sharper, smarter recommendations

Vague advice like "this one's good for your hair" is the industry norm. Taylor’s standard is different. She’ll tell you:

  • How Day of Grace balances your hair’s pH after a color service.

  • Why that pH balance is the secret to making your color last.

  • Which product is the best call for your second-day texture.

  1. Your color investment goes further

Color done perfectly in the salon can still fade fast at home if the wrong products are in the mix. Taylor now has a deeper framework for helping you protect your investment.

  • Longer-lasting color

  • Healthier hair over time

  • Fewer corrections needed at your next visit

Taylor: in Her Own Words

Taylor walked into this training with real nerves around public speaking. She walked out with an educator certification and direct affirmation from her evo educator that she was more than ready to teach.

This totally tracks for her. She has always approached her craft with a genuine hunger to understand it deeply. This certification is the formal version of what her guests have known for years.

We're so excited for our guests to experience what it's like to have an in-house evo educator on board!
