We specialize in low-maintenance, lived-in color services designed to keep you looking your best without spending all your time in the salon.

We believe everyone deserves to love their hair so if we find that your hair goals fall outside of our specialties, we’re happy to refer you to other trusted salons or stylists in the area who may be a better fit for the look or style you’re going for. We want to help you achieve the hair of your dreams, even if it’s not with us.​

BOOK YOUR APPOINTMENT
Once you’ve found the right services and the right stylist, head to our online booking page to reserve your appointment. Easy peasy.

🔔 Important Note:
After booking, you’ll receive a New Guest Intake Form via email. This form helps us prep for your appointment and make sure we’ve got the time and tools to bring your vision to life.
We ask that you complete this form at least 48 hours before your appointment. If we don’t receive it in time, we may need to cancel or reschedule your visit to ensure we’re setting everyone up for success.
What To Expect
Before Your Visit
Scheduling Software
We have recently switched to Mangomint for our appointment management. You are able to access your appointment information through the link in your email or by logging into your client portal here.

Reminder Email & Texts
You'll receive a reminder email or text, depending on your preferences, approximately 48 hours before your scheduled appointment. ​
​
You will also receive a text the morning of your appointment asking you to complete your appointment customization form if you have not already done so.

Appointment Customization Form
You will receive an Appointment Customization Form before your appointment so that you can completely customize your experience while in our salon. Pick out a drink or snack, set the vibe for your appointment, and update your inspiration photos all before you walk in the door. We'll make sure we have everything ready for what you need that day!

The Day Of
Location & Parking
Prickly Pear Salon is located in the Village Square shopping center, located at the corner of Walnut Street and Cary Towne Boulevard. We have ample parking in front of the salon as well as around end of the building, near Primo Pizza.

Late Arrival Policy
We recommend that you plan to arrive a few minutes early as construction in the Triangle can cause delays. We have a strict late arrival and cancellation policy in place to prevent last-minute cancellations and no-call, no shows. Please review our Policies page before your visit.

What to Wear
Please wear something comfortable - come as you are. We recommend avoiding bulky collars, highly-prized shirts, and light colors as there is always a small risk of color transfer. We also recommend wearing a neutral or plain colored shirt in case we snap some killer after photos!

At Your Visit
Upon Arrival
The day of your appointment, you'll receive a text message to complete self check-in.. Once you're checked in, you can make yourself comfortable in our reception area. We’ve got a self-serve mini fridge stocked with beverages and a small selection of snacks available during your visit. Make yourself at home!

In the Chair
Your appointment is more than just a service. It’s time for you. We’ll start with a thorough consultation to revisit your goals, talk through any inspiration photos, and assess the health and history of your hair. Whether you're here for a subtle refresh or a full transformation, we’ll make a plan that fits your vision and lifestyle.

Expect a relaxed, judgment-free atmosphere where you can chat, zone out, scroll your phone, or just enjoy the downtime. We’ve got chargers, music, and good vibes. Throughout your service, we’ll check in to make sure you’re comfortable and offer education on any tips or products that may help support your hair goals.

We believe in transparency, so we’ll always walk you through what we're doing and why so there are no surprises, just great hair and honest conversations.

Finishing Up
​
Once we’ve wrapped up your service, we may snap a few photos to show off your new look. Not into being on camera? No problem. We have several photo angles that keep the focus on your hair while honoring your comfort and privacy.
​
We’ll finish with styling tips, product recommendations tailored to your hair type and goals, and get you set up with anything you need for at-home care. Then one of our team members will check you out at the front desk and help you reserve your next visit if you'd like.
