Fresh Hair, Cleaner Water
At Prickly Pear Salon, we believe your time in our chairs should leave you feeling beautiful and confident—but also connected to something bigger. That’s why we’ve made an exciting upgrade at the shampoo bowl: ECOHEADS sprayers.
These innovative nozzles filter and soften water for a more luxurious rinse, while also saving gallons of water every single day. Translation? Shinier, healthier hair for you, and a greener future for all of us.
What Makes ECOHEADS Special
Our clean water supply is under pressure - from droughts in California, lead contamination in Michigan, and communities around the world struggling to access safe drinking water. As a salon, we asked ourselves: how can we make a difference without sacrificing the quality of your experience?
ECOHEADS allow us to do both
:✔ 65% less water use at every shampoo
✔ Boosted water pressure for that spa-like rinse we know you love
✔ Filtered impurities removed before they ever touch your hair
The result? Softer, shinier hair for you—and thousands of gallons of water saved each year.
Beauty with Impact
With ECOHEADS installed at every shampoo bowl in our salon, we’re conserving more than 100 gallons of water per basin per day. Multiply that by four shampoo stations and the days we’re open each week, and the ripple effect is huge.
But it doesn’t stop at Cary. Through ECOHEADS’ partnership with Sustain Beauty Co + The Thirst Project, part of our investment has gone toward building a fresh water well in rural El Salvador. Families there now have reliable access to safe drinking water—something we’re proud to be part of, and something you’re supporting every time you book with us.
Experience the Clean Water Difference
We can’t change the world on our own, but together, small actions add up. Your next visit to Prickly Pear Salon won’t just leave you with gorgeous hair, you’ll also be contributing to a healthier planet and cleaner water for communities in need.
